Alex is a Silicon Valley seasoned entrepreneur, having established the Bay Area’s largest Kosher Catering company, Lchaim Foods. He was introduced to cell-based agriculture and alternative proteins after working to establish a Kosher Hallal slaughterhouse.
Alex is an advisor to Indiebio, a leading Silicon Valley seed biotech accelerator and has organized numerous Food Tech events in Israel, Europe and the Bay Area. His innovative contribution to Silicon Valley’s food community has been recognized by Haaretz, The San Francisco Chronicle and Newsweek.
A proud supporter of second chance employment, Alex has lead entrepreneurship workshop in maximum security prisons as a volunteer for the Defy Organization.
After making Aliyah in 2018, He has continued to act as a business development consultant for leading Israeli Food-Tech companies while working as part of Madison Commercial, a leading US-based real estate financial service company.

Israel has established itself as the Start Up Nation. It’s innovation has made plants grow in sand, kept data secure and made cars drive themselves.
Now over 400 food tech startups are racing against time, making sure that we have the ability to feed 9 billion people by 2050.
This experiential presentation will show case some of Israel’s leading companies in the areas of alternative proteins, cellular agriculture and innovative ingredients.
While these products are not yet available on the european market, participants will have a chance to taste some of the products by attending the presentation.
