Who can participate in Limmud?
Limmud is for everyone! All who register and pay the registration fee are welcome. Limmud is for those who want to expand their horizons, learn and spend the weekend getting to know a new and interesting crowd. Nobody should feel excluded because of age, financial circumstances, political views or religious beliefs.
When is Limmud FSU Europe taking place?
March 31 to April 2 2023.
What time does the conference begin and end?
We start at approximately 14.00 on Friday and conclude around 15.00 on Sunday. The exact time will be published in the official programme nearer to the start of the conference. For now make sure to follow our Facebook page for the latest updates.
Where will the Limmud FSU conference take place?
The conference will be in Berlin. For security reasons the exact address will not be published on our site. You will receive the location via e-mail once you register.
Where will I stay?

All conference participants will stay at the conference hotel in the rooms they have selected and paid for during registration.

What is the best way to reach the venue?
In the confirmation e-mail you will find the exact location of the Limmud FSU Europe conference as well as instructions on how to reach the venue.
What facilities and services are offered by the hotel?
The hotel provides the following amenities at extra cost, not included the Limmud registration fee: gym, pool and bars. All of these must be paid for separately.
What food will be available?
There will be a kosher buffet that will include vegetarian and vegan dishes. If you would like to eat outside the conference buffet you can use the bars and restaurants of the hotel at your own expense. If you have allergies please let us know in the registration form.
Are children welcome?
Limmud is a family event and we invite participants of all ages. There will be a specific children’s programme for children from 0 to 16 years old (separated by age).
How much does it cost to attend?

You can see the prices here. The price is dependent on the accommodation you choose. Please note that Limmud is subsidised by our generous sponsors and if you are able please pay the full price.

Is there a discount for children?

Children under 3 are included in the parent’s registration at no extra charge. Children above 16 participate in Limmud at full price. There are special prices available for families with children 3 to 16, have a look at the price list.

I am on a limited budget, can I have a discount?

There are three options available:
– register as early as possible to receive the early bird discount (have a look at the price page);
– share a room (for instance a bed in three person room);
– become a Limmud Volunteer, Volunteers register and pay the full price and receive €50 refund back at the end of the conference, learn more about Terms & Conditions.

What would I have to do as a volunteer?

How can I volunteer?

During the registration process, give an affirmative answer to the question whether you want to become a volunteer. Further steps are described in detail here.

What do you get out of volunteering at Limmud?
  • A volunteer will gain an experience in organising a major event.
  • A volunteer has a unique opportunity to personally contribute to the development of the Jewish culture in the whole world and specifically in your own country.
  • By volunteering you can build your network all over Europe, through events specifically organised for Limmud volunteers (a sightseeing tour of the city in which Limmud takes place, surprises for the volunteering team during the Limmud, etc.).
  • According to the Conference Volunteers Terms & Conditions at the end of the Limmud conference each volunteer will receive €50 refund of the registration price (you can opt-out by making a donation to Limmud).
Who must register?

All participants, including presenters, volunteers, organisers and Limmud partners must complete the registration form. For each participant, we will issue a pass that allows to stay in the conference area. Therefore we need to know your personal details and accommodation preferences. Please fill out the registration form for yourself and everyone who will go to Limmud with you. Registration for the conference will be considered successful only upon payment. You will receive a confirmation of your place at the e-mail, which you provide in the registration form.

I am already registered for the conference as a presenter / volunteer / conference partner. Must I also complete the online registration form?

All participants, including presenters, volunteers, organisers and Limmud partners must complete the registration form. Is there a group discount?

If your group is over 10 people please write to our Participant Care Committee to discuss special pricing.

How to cancel my participation after the payment?

Can those who are not fluent or do not speak Russian at all attend the conference?
There will be one English language session scheduled during every time slot so please come even if you are not fluent in Russian.
I have a mobility issue, will I be able to participate in Limmud?
The conference hotel is accessible to everyone including guests with mobility issues. A number of hotel rooms are especially equipped for those who are less mobile and all the conference rooms are accessible by those with mobility issues. If due to health condition you need special accommodation, please indicate this in your registration form.
I am shomer Shabbat, can I keep Shabbat at Limmud FSU Europe?

Yes, we cater for the needs of all participants, including those who keep Shabbat. If you have specific questions please contact our Participant Care Committee.

Will Kabbalat Shabbat and Shabbat morning service be organised at Limmud?
Pluralism is a key principle of Limmud. Therefore a prayer space will be provided for Shabbat morning and for Kabbalat Shabbat on Friday night.
Who will present at the conference? What are main themes and lecture topics at the conference?
The Programme Committee is currently building the perfect programme that will be interesting and educational for all participants. The programme will be published nearer to the start of the conference. For now, follow the latest news on our website and Facebook page.
I have more questions, whom can I ask?

Please write to the Participant Care Committee and we will endeavour to answer your questions as soon as possible. 

I have to arrive at the conference late or leave early. Is there a reduced price due to missing a part of the conference?
You can, of course, arrive and depart whenever it is convenient for you; however, the conference price and the accommodation costs will remain the same.
What if I have a medical problem during the conference?
Hotel staff are trained in first aid. In more serious cases you can consult a local doctor (the hotel can recommend one) or we can call an ambulance.
How can I make changes to my registration form?

While filling out the questionnaire, you can return to your previous answers and edit them if necessary. If you need to make changes to the form that has been sent, please contact our Participant Care Committee.
